Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians who entered India on or before 31st December 2014 from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will not be considered as illegal immigrants under the new law and these people will be eligible to get Indian citizenship.
